Apiary and Environmental Issues Club

Take part in bee keeping and gardening.  Discuss current events such as climate and coastal change, as well as other issues impacting food, humans, and the environment.  Mrs. Evan Fergusson is the sponsor for this club.

Science Olympiad is a nonprofit organization with the mission to attract and retain the pool of K-12 students entering science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees and careers. Every year Science Olympiad hosts tournaments on university, community college, and public school campuses across the state.

Surf Club

The surf club at Cape Hatteras Secondary School was started in the fall of 2017 and has been thriving ever since. Dare County Board of Education recognizes the Cape Hatteras Surf Club for excellence in teaching students the art of surfing and instilling a sense of dedication, commitment, and hard work. The surf club is open to all students and is active through surf practices after school and on weekends, surf competitions, beach clean ups, and fundraisers within the community. Mr. Clayton Tiderman is the Surf Club Sponsor.

Wave Volleyball Club

Hatteras Wave Club Volleyball is an opportunity for girls ages 12 to 18 to step up their level of volleyball competition by playing teams across North Carolina and Virginia. It is an opportunity to make friends and have fun outside of school. The club tries to keep cost down by fund raising and parent involvement is also an important of this club.  Practices are usually held on Sunday's at Cape Hatteras Secondary School and an additional evening per week.
