                                        Parent Portal Information

The Parent Portal gives parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades, and assignments.  The Parent Portal helps keep everyone connected and informed about what is happening in the classroom. Students can keep up with assignments, parents can track their child's progress, and teachers can more easily share information about student progress with parents and students.
Using a single log-in, families with multiple students have the ability to set up their accounts to view all of their students at one time.  If you had a Parent Portal account last year it still works this year.  The url for Parent Portal is      dare.powerschool.com

How do I get started? 
  1. Step 1: Complete the access request forms from the downloads below. 
    If you did not make an account last year, you can fill out an access request form and turn it into your child's school.  Valid ID is required.
  2. Step 2: Wait for the  instructions.
    After processing your request form, school officials will send you an email that includes information about how to access the portal and your child's access ID and password. Please provide schools time to process your request. 
  3. Step 3: Create the Parent Portal account.
    Use the information provided in the email to create your Parent Portal account.  You can create the account by visiting dare.powerschool.comAfter you have created the account online, you can then download the Powerschool Parent Portal app and access the information from your mobile phone by searching Pearson Powerschool for Parents in the app store.

A: Please fill out the Access Request Form and leave at school
Q: What if I can't remember my username and password?
A: Click "Having trouble signing in" on the log-in page. You will be asked to enter your username to reset your password. You will need to enter your e-mail address if you have forgotten both your username and your password. Information will be sent to your e-mail address.
Q: How does my child log in to the portal? 
A: Students will login using North Carolina's cloud  my.ncedcloud.org
Q: Will my child still have access if I do not create a Parent Portal account?
A: Students have been provided information to access their data regardless of whether parents have requested access.
